"for even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45
Everyone wants to be on top, well known, and have some sort of power and authority. however, Jesus taught it differently compare to this world. He said, "if you want to be a leader you must first be a servant." (mark 10:43). To better understand this, compare Jesus to the Pharisees in their character, actions, and life. Jesus was humble, the Pharisees were stiff necked. Jesus demonstrated real faith, the Pharisees spoke of the law. Jesus put the people before himself. the Pharisees put themselves before the People. Jesus changed lives with his love, the Pharisees wanted order through the law.
I understand that nothing is easy in life. Not everyone can be a police officer. We are not all called to go to the army. But we "are" all called to serve God. The greatest thing you can do is serve. so instead of asking questions like, "can you do this for me?" change it into, "what can I do for you?" There is a huge difference. Be that difference
