 Honoring Him by our acceptance.

Each day we have opportunities either to accept or deny God.

We may begin our day with prayer, acknowledging the existence of God, yet we may live our entire day in fear and despair as a faithless person denying the presence of God in our lives.

Peter had followed Jesus for three and a half years, yet when fear gripped his soul when Jesus was arrested, Peter denied Christ three times.

“Peter then denied again; and immediately a rooster crowed.” John 18:27 NKJV

Time will not wait for us and each day will pass by as the rooster crowed at the time of Peter signifying another day has dawned in his life.

Yet, in this day, will we chose to glorify God by seeking His strength and living a victorious life or will we chose to live in fear and defeat?

Jesus said…

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Matthew 11:28-29 NKJV

God knows and understands our pain, our sorrows and our sufferings and thus He invites us to come to Him and He will give us rest. Under the yoke of God, walking in His perfect commandments, we will always find rest, peace and solace.

Failures, depression, loneliness and sorrows often beat us down and we are curbed under their weight, however there is redemption, peace and solace in Christ alone.

Peter had denied Christ, yet later he repented and came back, the Lord forgave him and used him mightily for His glory.

Let’s confess our sins and bring our fears and worries before the Lord God and seek His strength, so at every given opportunity we may seek to glorify and accept Him rather than to dishonor and deny our gracious loving Lord.
