The bread of life, the Passover Lamb
When Jesus was arrested, He was not arrested by a bunch of robbers or thieves at that time, rather by the High Priest and his people.
The duty of the high priest is to worship God and lead the people into worship, yet if our worship degrades to such an apathy that we fail to recognize the God Whom we are worshipping, it is nothing more than a dead worship and ritualistic lip service we are offering to God, when our hearts are way far away from Him and His precepts.
“ Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the Praetorium, and it was early morning. But they themselves did not go into the Praetorium, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover.” John 18:28 NKJV
Caiaphas the High priest was more concerned about participating in the Passover than dealing with Jesus Christ, for he did not know that “He who is the Bread of life and the Passover Lamb” Jesus Christ is God.
Let us take perfect care…
‘Not to exclude Jesus from our families, our church, our worship and from our life.”
What a pity the Lord would have felt when the very office of the High priest which He Himself had established at the time of Moses now fails to recognize and worship Him, instead His own people have led Him to the crucifixion.
May the Lord open our eyes to see and recognize Him, may He open our hearts to feel His blessed presence.
Our main purpose in this world is to praise and glorify God through our lives and through all we do.
Yet if our life and our deeds fail to glorify God, then let’s be alarmed and know that we will never benefit or please God by our ritualistic dead faith, for what type of worship and worshippers does the Lord seek?
This is what the Lord told to the Samaritan woman….
Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. ……… But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:(21-24 )NKJV
More than our place of worship, more than our ritualistic traditional approach, what we need to seek is the ‘Lord’s presence in’ and God’s consent for all we do.
God Bless,
Abraham
