In my chair beside the window, I meet Him there.
I do not have to utter word by mouth or heart.
I only have to quiet my spirit and listen for His voice
To hear the unconditional love that He imparts.
“You are beloved.” He says to me without shame or pause,
“I gave my life to ransom you," He whispers tenderly.
“There is no condemnation, no judgmental attitude,
I seek to only be with you and hold you close to me.”
Can any love be freer? Release be any greater?
Can my soul sing any louder? Can joy be more complete?
This Lord, this King is my beloved Bridegroom!
Can any other heart utter words so sweet?
Here, beside my window, in my chair, in quietness,
I seek to feel His touch and hear His soft and loving voice.
No one can steal this precious time away from us,
Until I choose the world and all its noise.
"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." James 4:8a NAS
