Queen Elizabeth and her Diamond Jubilee Celebration took center stage in all the main stream media prime times and ad previews. All eyes have been focused on this Queen of Queens. She has been heralded as ”the best queen since Queen Victoria.” All throughout this year she will be honored in some way throughout England and the world. Now no one is saying that Queen Elizabeth II does not deserve all the pomp and circumstance. She is a strong ally to the United States and a symbol of freedom to the world. And, of course, we so much enjoy visualizing the “finer” things of life, participating as all the world honors royalty. This whole year the Queen will be the center of our attention.
However, there is one coming that assuredly may soon be even more center stage. There is someone waiting “in the wings” that is being groomed to become all that the world needs—or so it may seem. After all, our economy certainly needs someone with intelligence that can straighten out the mess we have made—not just in America—but in every corner of our world. Would it not be noteworthy, or rather, a news alert, if someone who knew how to “run” our world and stepped forward with the fortitude to take this mess we’ve made and with brilliance turn our problems into victories?
Talking about brilliance, there was again a meeting this June 2012 of the world’s most intelligent, wealthy, famous and beautiful people as there is every year. On this occasion the meeting was in Virginia, at the Westfield’s Marriot, just 25 miles from the White House. This is a group that gathers to discuss how our world spins. They sequester themselves to make conversation and small talk, and as always, big talk, of who owns what, who owes who and what difference that all this info makes. The group is called “The Bilderbergers.” Haven’t heard of them? Most people haven’t. We, who, are usually focused on our little corner of our world, work hard and care for our families, don’t really tend to know a lot about the very elite. However these folks seem to know a lot about us and what goes on in our world. I remember stories that my husband’s aunt used to share about this group when I was a young bride, nearly 43 years ago. She was a retired Army major and well versed on the political scene.
In part, The Bilderbergers group offer their privacy statement and disclaimer on their official website at www.Bilderbergers.org. Participants are by invitation only and selected according to their experience, knowledge, their standing as well as their contribution to the “oh-so-private” chosen agenda. Of the 120 or so invited, something like two-thirds come from Europe and the remaining from North America. Their discussions center on government and politics, finance, industry, labor, education and communications. This is not grandma’s tea party. And get this—they attend in not any official capacity. The goal of the meeting is to “encourage dialog among U.S. and European leaders in an informal, off-the-record environment.”
Now, my question is why? Why are leaders and other elites meeting about things concerning our country in an unofficial capacity without the press or any representation from us as private citizens?
A bit of research suggest that there is much more going on in our world than we could possibly comprehend or even imagine. We do know what happens, however. We do know the end of the story. It’s right there for the entire world to read. The Bible told us from the beginning how man would corrupt the world and what destruction lay ahead. We even know the Victor! We can be certain on what side we will be found, according to our own choices.
Man plans. Man contemplates. Man schemes. Man steps forward to offer solutions that he thinks will make things better—for him, his colleagues, and his bank account.
God waits to once again ride into “His-story” to fulfill what the Revelator wrote in God’s own words. This time, He rides not on a donkey, but on a white horse with crowns of victory (Rev. 19: 11, 12.) What a news flash! What a story—a true one! A King is honored, worshiped and glorified by His people in His own world—the one He made. Now that sells papers!
