And some come from behind
And then take their place in front,
Remember that the Bible says,
“Be kind.”
When your day was difficult,
And you’re ready now to quietly unwind,
But your children want to fuss and fight, ,
Remember that the Bible says,
“Be kind.”
When someone parks close to your car,
And you find that you’re confined,
As you go to see that driver,
Remember that the Bible says,
“Be kind.”
When a person uses language
That’s not pleasant or refined,
And he hatefully insults you,
Remember that the Bible says,
“Be kind.”
When you find that you have faltered,
Ask the one that you maligned
To forgive your unkind actions,
And remember for the next time
To be kind.
Jesus was our best example while on earth
As He demonstrated always, love divine.
He acted thus to friend and foe alike.
If we follow Jesus’ teaching on compassion,
We’ll be kind.
