Of wealth or grand estate,
Nor gems of great magnificence,
Do I anticipate.
But still, I have a heritage
As daughter of the King,
Of all the vast inheritance
That designation brings.
The King’s my Father—God’s His name,
Gives gifts beyond belief.
His very presence brings me joy
And comforts me in grief.
He sent His Son to die for me
And bring to me salvation,
And He’s my guide while I’m on earth,
Then Savior from damnation.
More gifts already I’ve received—
His mercy, truth, and grace,
As well as strength from day to day
For problems that I face.
Provision of His promises
Are purer than gold ore,
And every single one of them
Is mine forevermore.
Security that’s found in Him
On me, He does bestow.
I’ve faith His love will follow me
Wherever I may go.
Then when I die or Christ will come,
And He takes me away,
I have a sure inheritance
Of Heaven on that day,
