And raindrops, wilting flowers,
God’s Word revives my thirsting soul
In early morning hours.
I travel with God’s chosen ones,
Who journey far and wide
And note that when they obey God,
He’s ever by their side.
In Testaments, both Old and New,
I’m challenged by the bold.
My will to serve God is renewed
As their lives I behold.
With David’s Psalms does my heart sing
For refuge in His tower.
The Shepherd, my protection is.
He guides me hour by hour.
My heart is warmed by Jesus’ life
From birth to resurrection,
Who, when He gave His life for man,
Made us with God, connection.
My love for God’s rekindled new
To know His acts of grace.
My spirit is revitalized
By praying face-to-face.
I’m reassured by promises
From God’s great faithfulness,
And as I follow close to Him,
I’ll enter heaven’s rest.
Like dew refreshes weary earth,
And raindrops, wilting flowers,
I’ll go forth from God’s Word today,
His blessings as my showers.
