Numberless days
Days full of numbness
Darkest disgrace
I have forgotten You
My mind is shadows
My spirit dry
Evil prevailing
On every side
I forget Your works
Life is but withered
Breath is but stale
Light is all yellowed
Here in this jail
I forget Your grace
Though I forget You
You don’t forget me
When I feel captive
You’ve still set me free
In darkness or sin
This truth remains
Jesus blood conquers
Death and the grave
Mercy covenant
Rises again
Testifying Love
Will never fail
You forget my sin
I open Your book
Familiar words
Light up the way
Back to Your Heart
You forget my shame
Enveloping me
Spirit descends
Displacing all fear
And loneliness
You forget my past
Though I forget You
You don’t forget me
When I feel captive
You’ve still set me free
In darkness or sin
This truth remains
Jesus blood conquers
Death and the grave
