to give thanks
for my daily needs
and the safety
I have enjoyed
Let me not forget Your grace
to be kind and courteous
to friends and family members
who have helped me
though at times they hinder
May I spare a thought
for the less fortunate
for the widows and the fatherless
by my prayers
and givings
Since all powers
come from God
teach me to remember
those in positions of authority
placed there by You
Beginning from Church leaders
to Government officials
I owe them my prayers
for they are Your servants
by Your appointments and for my good
Guide me and watch over me
help me to be grateful
for what You have given
and thankful
for what You have denied
Lord
help me remember
the deep meaning
of the broken bread
and the poured out wine
when I gather
round Your table
Fill me with joy,
gratitude and love
for You and one another
Grant me always be mindful
of who You are
and what You have done
You are my Maker
and my Redeemer
