Where you can find retreat,
Away from troubles of the world
That sometimes bring defeat.
Home is the place for memories
Of persons you held dear,
With echoes of their voices heard,
Though they are not still here.
Home is the place for tasks to do
Wherever you abide,
For comfort and attractiveness
In house you can take pride.
Home is the place for lessons learned
To serve God and each other,
With standards demonstrated by
The father and the mother.
Home is the place to celebrate
For all the special days,
To honor God and ones you love
In long remembered ways.
Home is the place of Christian love,
Lived out by family,
A harmony of brotherhood
That’s plain for all to see.
Home is the place to play and rest,
Whatever way you want to.
Home is the place that when you’ve left,
You can’t wait to get back to.

This helps remind us how important “Home” is and to strive for these values everyday.

You made me think and feel with this piece. Well done!
Did you know that many languages don't really have a word for home? Isn't that sad?
Well written, as usual.
