Lovely!
Blessings~
This is so sweet. It flows nicely and left me with a warm fuzzy feeling and a huge smile. The message is beautiful too and you nailed the topic. I could see this on a plague that would make a great wedding present or house-warming gift.

I so agree with the comment above! This should be on plaque, and given as a gift!
This helps remind us how important “Home” is and to strive for these values everyday.
A lovely read!
"with echoes of their voices heard
Though they are not still here."
This is my favorite line. I like genealogy, and this makes me think of generations gone before in an inherited family home.
You made me think and feel with this piece. Well done!

Yes, each stanza shows the essence of home.
Did you know that many languages don't really have a word for home? Isn't that sad?
Well written, as usual.

I agree with Shann- this would make a lovely wall hanging, and Mariane could paint the background!

You covered so many important aspects of home. The second stanza made me teary-eyed as the anniversary of my dad's death is coming up next week. Our memories of those no longer with us are so important.
I love the meter on this poem and I love the message. You nailed the meaning of "Home" not just adequately but beautifully. After I read it, I thought, "If I'd written this, I'd make it into bookmarks, laminate them and have a stack sitting on my coffee table for my guests to read and take one home with them. Good job!

I like how each verse carries us deeper into what a home should represent. Deftly done!

"Home is the place...." I love your organizing stanzas, each of them beyond listing, but instead describing that place. And, I agree with the comments on how to share your sweet poetry. Thank you, sweet friend!
Congratulations on ranking 19 overall. Happy Dance!
