Of temporary visitation—
A not-unending habitation,
In Hotel Planet Earth.
While I’m residing in this place,
I see a host of lovely sights.
Through sunny days and starry nights,
Creator’s wonders shine.
Of all that’s here to celebrate,
My greatest blessings: “God with me”
And my beloved family
And friends along the way.
Through times of work and worshiping,
My Lord is by my side.
In His safe tower I abide
In grief and suffering.
I’m praying that before I go,
I’ll run the race that’s mine to run
And not leave any tasks undone.
My record’s in His book.
The check-out time’s not mine to choose.
Decision’s made by God’s great Power.
It’s He who knows the day and hour
For when I will depart.
What great anticipation lies
To check in at that promised place.
What joy I’ll have to see His face
In my eternal home!
