The truck rattled to a stop. The coyote leading them to the promised land of America shouted for everyone to get out. Voices came to life but were quickly snuffed out as their guide ordered silence. Joints creaking and aching from the long ride, Hamid joined the others tumbling to the ground. The coyote pointed his rifle toward the nearby fence and Hamid wondered how they’d deal with the barbed wire. He saw soon enough. To his right the heavy wire fencing had been cut and peeled upward to allow space for them one-by-one to slip under into their new home.
Hamid remained with the group as long as he could stand it. The GPS he’d brought showed him his destination. He veered off and soon left the others to their fate. Walking in the barren land with only scrub brush for company he reflected on his reason for being here. His god had spoken. Hamid’s task was clear. He would meet those who would help him and blend in with the unsuspecting peoples who foolishly worshipped diversity and tolerance. He would pose first as a tourist, then “decide” to stay, to work, to seek his fortune in this land that welcomed all. Yes, they would receive him with open arms, and rue the day.
The plan went forward as anticipated with few challenges. Hamid soaked away the scum of those with whom he’d traveled, but soon enough had to immerse himself in the culture he hated. The people in this nation had prostituted themselves and made a mockery of all that was right and true. They’d embraced the abomination of man sleeping with man and woman with woman, even celebrating it at the highest levels of government. Did they not know that Allah would judge them and bring down his wrath for their desecration of all that was holy?
He laughed at the foolish Christians and their meager response to those who sought to destroy their teachings. It was the one thing on which he agreed with the People of the Book. Homosexuality and the sanctifying of same-sex “marriage” brought disgrace to them all. The difference was that Hamid and those who sent him planned to show how wrong it was. Allah would not be mocked.
Over the next several months Hamid made his way north and east, finally arriving at his destination. He took in the sights of the nation’s capital and eventually began working at the government job as promised.
It amazed even him how lax the security was for someone like him. That they would hire him as a public servant, a guard armed with a gun, showed how trusting these people were. They were so blind. How they worshipped at the altar of political correctness!
Hamid showed a strong work ethic. It led to promotion, which brought him closer to his target. On the day he viewed it, his plan coalesced in his mind. He knew how he’d accomplish his task.
On the eve of a June day a year from the fateful date that brought him to this point, Hamid planted the explosives. Trusted as he was, no one questioned his right to be in the room when it was empty. The next day Allah would be pleased.
The Supreme Court came into session that next morning to deliver the final ruling of its term. The black-robed judges presided from their physical and moral height to deliver another blow to the First Amendment they’d shredded and the God they’d ignored.
Hamid couldn’t have cared less about free speech. He did care that the Great Satan would imminently begin its descent into oblivion. The huge explosion that he witnessed from afar shook the foundations of the corrupt government. Hamid laughed, delighted at the chaos.
He would savor it for a while, then begin his next assignment.
