An image of earth as a sphere
Collude to raise questions and doubts in their minds
And query beliefs they hold dear
The picture, they say, has fooled us for sure
A man on the moon just a sham
Golf balls and flags and one “giant leap”
It’s all an elaborate scam
True science declares we inhabit a disc-
A disc undeniably flat
Of course there are mountains and valleys and seas
But an edge to the world for all that
If the world was as round as the scientists say
And a man with his heart set to stray
He walks to the edge of the globe and then what?
Slips off, with a shout falls away
But how can we hold to a fallible truth
When all of the evidence shows
The Earth is a sphere that orbits the sun?
It’s something that everyone knows
Can my faith in God be likened to those who
Believe that the planet is flat?
Is God’s a leftover from childish thoughts
Can it be as simple as that?
It doesn’t make sense is the oft accusation
It goes against reason of mind
God being born, dressed in frail human flesh
His lost sheep to seek out and find
I know my Redeemer and I know His love
It fits not the ways of this world
I see transformation, from sinner to saint
The evidence in me unfurled
