8:00AM: Alas, I regret to inform you that this is my last entry, for I am dying as a result of food depravation. This has come to pass as a result of the humans hurriedly leaving the house —failing to dish out my breakfast. One must disregard, however, the bowl of dried pebbles they advertise as food. That stuff is poisonous, and I’m already suffering death by starvation.
Woe is me; my little feline heart has shattered over the betrayal. How could they do this to me? They proclaimed never ending love, declaring this to be my forever home, yet left without feeding me. Oh, rue the day I was born, to now have to leave this earth in such an undignified manner. I shall never again savor my favorite meal featuring minced tuna and salmon, smothered in a decadent gravy. Feeling weak; must conserve energy.
5:00PM: I have not died. It’s a miracle! Someone arrived home, taking note of how I slept beside the empty dish. Technically, I was unconscious from lack of food, but that’s a mote point. I demonstrated an Oscar worthy performance demanding food, and now I’ve recovered from death’s door.
10:00PM: A most grievous thing has been done; a catastrophe of epic proportions. The humans retired for the night, forgetting my bedtime kitty snacks. Woe is me, yet again. It’s quite certain that I shall not last till morning, for I am famished. Sleep will elude me as my belly rumbles its way to my certain demise.
I must do something, I cannot, no … I will not continue this way. Thinking … Ah ha! The solution has come to me. I shall seek revenge by caterwauling and scratching at their bedroom doors throughout the night. I shall also urp clumps of hairballs in strategic locations. One last thing I must do — though it is most distasteful; the dish of kibbles needs to be defiled.
This night, the adrenaline of justice will keep me alive. The humans must learn that it is forbidden to fail to feed this cat. Vengeance is mine, and I will survive!
