She ran frantically tripping and falling along the way
Her heart was beating like a powerful drum
She screamed so loud but it came out as a whisper
The cacophony of voices served to heighten her anxiety
They closed in on her and enveloped her within moments
She fell to the ground and sobbed uncontrollably
All she could see was feet in all shapes in front of her
She waited for the first strike and held her breath
She hoped it was fast--let the biggest boulder find its mark
She waited, cringed and covered herself with her veil
Why did it get so silent? What happened here?
She felt a warmth cascading over her body she felt peace
She didn’t hear the ugly cries any longer, instead a welcome silence
There He was in all of His magnificence...He touched her to lift up
"Women where are your accusers?" Go and sin no more.
The love affair for all time, Jesus my Lord
I am free and cleansed from Sin
I am new and worthy and righteous in His eyes
I am His forever more and will never stray again
