We start “In the beginning”,
Or, “Once upon a time”.
We live to tell our stories,
As in a nursery rhyme.
Our carefree childhood memories,
Give way to troubled youth.
We try to find out who we are,
While we seek for truth.
But we grow ever wiser,
As we stumble, trip and fall.
We choose to start a family,
As expected, after all.
We humbly pray for guidance
As blindly, we try to lead.
But somehow we still manage.
God meets our every need.
At times we even wonder
What can all of this be for?
Then all at once He answers.
Our faith, renewed once more.
The older years start showing,
Our hair is turning gray.
Great delight is found in watching,
Our precious grandkids play.
We stop to smell the roses,
And watch the setting sun.
We marvel at God's creation,
And the wonders He has done.
Our life may be a vapor,
But fret not, my dearest friend.
It isn't about how our story begins,
But how we face “The End”.

I was wondering if the second to last line would flow better as "It isn't how our story begins"? Just a suggestion. Blessings, LaVonne
