The night was excruciating. This time was different he thought, this time she will respond.
“Hours. In her world, days.” sighed his brother Seth, the smaller of the two heavenly warriors.
On special assignment from the Most High, they could not intervene until given word from above. Devastating to watch at times, yet necessary. The love God showed for her was obvious to them and understood as discipline to save her life. The glaring evil of sin in her world reached new lows, catapulting her into uncharted territory. Into the very depths of darkness. The invisible had become visible. The unseen, seen. Adonai had thinned the veil of separation between her world and ours.
“Sometimes, they fall away after knowing the truth, after receiving the Spirit of God. They believe, yet they backslide. She believes, she just does not remember her faith.” said Kail, harnessing the desire to slay the demons surrounding her.
“It has been a battle on all fronts. I have not witnessed an assignment like this one. She is breaking in her mind, yet His Spirit within her still lives, still fights for her soul.” said Seth.
Satan’s underlings had been busier than usual having been given permission to continue pursuit of her thoughts and the secrets she tried to hide from everyone. God had isolated her and through her suffering, He would bring her back to Himself. Their orders were clear.
“This far and no further are they allowed to test her. Enforce my restrictions and keep order.” said the Most High. Weakening, she lay sobbing in exhaustion and critically wounded in her soul.
“Deliverance comes at a costly price and is not a quick fix. The hand of Satan was given unto her; it was the only way.” Kail said as he watched her rise to her feet wiping her face.
Another night, another round in battle. The war invisible to her eyes and waged in her spirit. Unlike his brother Seth, this was not his first discipline and deliverance duty. Seeing firsthand the use of darkness to call home the chosen children of God was breathtaking to witness.
“I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” These were promises from the Son of God to her, forgotten in the haze of sinful desires and the enticement of the flesh. She had wandered far from home. This was a rescue mission. This night was harsh and relentless, although she had been near death too many times to keep count. Blessed by Him who died for her, she was still breathing.
The devil was keeping a scorecard of atrocities binding her in chains of shame, locking her mind to him. This was why she was on the floor, beaten down by regret, remorse, and recognition of her inequity before God. Satan was an expert deceiver who lied to her from the age of five when sexual abuse first became all she knew. The spiritual eyes God had given her to see the things of our world walked the razor’s edge of sane and insane.
Trauma bonding and coping skills of people pleasing had her wrapped up in bondage like a straitjacket. God brought her to this edge of insanity; the invisible wreckage littered the carpet of her room.
“I can see it,” said Seth. “Like scales falling off her eyes. Can she see us?”
“No. She can feel our movements and is terrified. He will bring her to Himself now.” whispered Kail.
To their knees they fell, swords lain on the carpet of her room, right arms across their hearts.
Transparent, glowing light illuminated the room, darkness gone instantaneously. He wrapped her in His robe, lifting her head to heaven. “Fear not, for I am with you. I have called you by name, you are Mine.”
Seth asked, “She hears the voice of God, doesn’t she?”
“She does. Even more so than before. Deep within, she hears His voice like an invisible imprint on her soul, in her spirit. Deep calls unto deep.”
She will never be the same, thought Kail. I have seen it many times.
“Some have scars so deep that to believe in the power of God, they must witness the powerful unseen forces of Satan untamed. Meanwhile, the tangible love of God becomes more real to them than any pain ever experienced. Deliverance is not for the faint of heart.” said Kail to Seth.
“She is a warrior now.”
