I wish to engage
You in pouring out my heart
About a match, not game.
Matchstick for tea candles, no.
Not matching wardrobe for my new shoes.
Not to replicate
Someone admirable, no.
Mimic one I’m not.
Measure up for affirmation, no.
Not contend in Game of Thrones.
Not enter into
Courtship match-made in Heaven
For suitable helpmeet.
I’m wed to the love of my youth,
My soul-mate, Love of my life.
Perfect match... perfect harmony…
Into nature, woven together,
Harmonized with earthly life.
To love God, with all my being.
Do His will, His saving design.
Walk in accord with my Creator’s plan for me.
In the beginning,
God fashioned light and darkness.
Ascribed each in space and time,
Good and perfect unity, He said.
Coordinates of seasons, night and day.
The pounding sea waves
Harmonize sound and color.
With one and other,
Masterfully entwined into
Marvelous Creator’s symphony.
God’s opus design,
Harmony in perfection
With grace abiding.
Creation’s music in perfect rhythm
Reflect the Master’s glory.
To become one with Him,
Woven into perfect union.
Through His kindness and grace,
Learn, joyfully live His Words;
Father and child drawn close together.
I, a creation of faith
After God’s own heart.
I, perfectly fashioned with my duty--
