Do they see? The One who whispered my name into being stands before me, but the creatures of His image cannot recognize Him. Despite the monstrous structures standing as monuments to their sovereignty, they cannot recognize the Sovereign before them. No, such wisdom is hidden from the wise; yet made plain to those who can know no different.

Do they understand? In the shadows of His cross, I find safety from the birds that seek to devour me; this same peace is available to the two-footed beasts that scream from the chaos within. The thickness of the veil blots out the light that could expel such darkness. No, such truth is hidden from the wise; yet made plain to those who are here but gone in an instant.

Do they realize? The pool of His blood that sustains my flash of life has the power to grant them so much more. Grace pours out like an endless flood, etching out a new order. But the flapping of their gums matches the fluttering of my wings, drowning out the echoes of hope. No, such love is hidden from the wise; yet made plain to those who are reviled.

Who truly is the carrier of a mad disease? Mine is not blind of truth.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him. And by His stripes we are healed.
