Topic: RECORD (04/22/21)
Today is supposedly Earth day. To the world, that means talking about problems, praising created things, and giving credit to leaders and "Mother Nature."

While Greta is yelling at politicians, I'm looking out my window at work. There is a tree whose leaves are fluttering in the wind that moves through them. They look like they're applauding every time the wind comes through. Like their entire existence and all their energy is lived in and expended in applause to their Maker.

What an example!

It's probably the most simple, yet most beautiful display I've ever seen.

As humans, we tend to forget the glory and majesty and creative genius of God. We get wrapped up in all the noise, the mess we've made, and the blame-game, and we forget where it all started, who set it all in motion, and it's purpose.

“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you;
and the fish of the sea will declare to you.
Who among all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
In his hand is the life of every living thing
and the breath of all mankind." - Job 12:7-10

They know the truth. Pay attention to the world around you. Take note and folliw them in praise of the God who thought to create it ... for you; He made it to sustain you and to awe you and to point you to Him -

"For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God." - Romans 1:20

Let's set the record straight on this so-called Earth day and give it to the Lord with all our praise. Let's praise the Creator, not the created. Let's honor Him by taking care and steward it well, asking Him for His insight in how to care for it and have dominion over it the way He intended. Let's praise the King who created it for a purpose - to show us His great love and bring us back to Him.

Let's not let the rocks cry out for us!

This is very moving. I didn't see anything grammatically incorrect or needing any punctuation changes. What I found was a piece that held my interest from beginning to end. It brought my own memories of almost daily thanking God for his beautiful art work; thanking Him too for the majestic home He has provided for us until we go to our Heavenly home. Thank you for this article that gave all the glory and honor to our Lord and Savior. Well done!

I think you did a nice job of presenting your message. I like devotions that start with a real-life message to which many can relate. I disagree a bit about the beginning bit on the purpose of Earth Day; it's not about praising created things and giving credit to leaders. It started in 1970 to make sure we respect the beautiful earth God created for us. I do agree it can get political and that's not good at all. Your penultimate paragraph was a great example of why Earth Day was created. I also think that Greta Thunberg is an awesome example of being a steward of the Earth. Jesus said, Let the children come to me. Sometimes kids can be wiser than many adults. I enjoyed your poetic description of the tree. You painted an awesome picture with your words. I also like the Scriptures you used. They were a perfect fit for your message. Your ending is powerful and makes the reader stop and think and have good conversations. That's always a good accomplishment for an author. Your passion to spread God's love and message is powerful and touches my heart.
