We all come from different places in life; therefore, our belief systems might be all over the map. And I, for one, recently with much Bible study come from the school of thought that with forgiveness comes the ability to forget. Yes, I subscribe to the belief that God gives me the ability to forget, but only if I petition for it. I know that when it's my turn to see Jesus Christ face to face, there will be no do-overs, and I sincerely want my slate to be clean. And I, for one, honestly believe that nothing is impossible with God. Therefore that's my assurance that I can forgive and forget another's indiscretion towards me. Think about it, have you ever forgotten anything from your past without trying, of course, you have?
You just might be wondering why it disturbs me, so, much, I think that it just might be a form of unforgiveness. If I say to you that I forgive you, but I won't ever erase the memory of your indiscretion, how will that make you feel? Do you think that I can genuinely trust and or believe anything that you say in the future? Therefore each time that I see you, my judgment just might be colored by my memory of the incident that crushed me in the past. Listen, I believe that we have not because we ask not. As of late, I am working harder to dot every " i " and cross every " t. "
Without a doubt, I have what I'm calling a defining moment, and I am going to seek out this individual and clear my conscience. I understand that most will not agree with my rationalization on this point, and that's fine, each to his own. I'm calling this Insurance, and just the thought is giving me a plethora of peace. All I wish to say now is Thank You for your time.
