That's what she read. It could have been anything written anywhere, but this is what she saw.
Where would anyone get the idea that nothing was impossible? Why were these words written in the ladies restroom. Why? It blew her mind.
Here she was, a 66 year old woman with lots of baggage and didn't mean just luggage. There's ample girth to go around, too.
She struggled with faith her entire life because of the failures that captured her heart and soul through relationships, businesses, and schooling, that left her heart empty and cold.
"You will never good enough!" was her coach's answer to her cheerleading tryout.
"Not gonna happen!" was her mother's answer to her quest for beauty.
"With your weight? Ha!" was her father's laughing response to her request to fly a plane.
"No talent at all!" was the retort from her teacher's critique of her painting.
"Never!" was her husband's answer to her desire for another child.
It's a strange word...impossible. That is, until her pastor told her to look at the word in an unusual way. Being a lover of word games, especially for his sermons, he showed her how to disseminate 'impossible'.
She tilted her head, as if a strange new idea formed within her mind and grasped a whiff of hope.
Then, holding on to that wispy thought, she wrote the word...impossible. She read the word...impossible. She turned the word around and looked at it upside down...impossible. If she stood on it and looked from a distance,...impossible. IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Suddenly, a spark glistened in her eye. A light switched on. God is right!
It's not impossible!
It's I'M POSSIBLE!! She could understand now... 'She believed she could so she did'.
If no one believed she could, she didn't believe it herself. That's what made it impossible.
With God all things are possible for those who believe! (Matthew 19:26b)
So she did because she believed she could.
