What Do You Choose?

Joshua 24:15
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose
for yourselves this day whom you will serve,--------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
But for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."

What do you choose?

God lets us make our own choices,
What do you choose?
Do you choose to be happy?
Do you choose to be sad?
Do you choose to be grumpy,
Or just choose to be mad?
Do you choose to be selfish,
And think only of you?
Or do you choose to be a blessing,
To someone who needs you?

God lets us make our own choices,
What do you choose?
I choose to be happy,
To be a light in this dark world.
I choose to help someone,
Whether a boy or a girl.
To someone who is down,
I choose to lift them up.
And Pray and Pray without ceasing,
The way Jesus lifts me up.

God lets us make our own choices,
So what do you choose?
Be a blessing to all others,
The way Jesus Blesses You.
Amen!

I see so many people that walk around mad, grumpy,
always complaining, finding fault in everything and
everyone. And it saddens me deeply because so many of
them are Christians. They have the joy and peace in their
hearts, but chose to not let it come out. They make the choice
everyday to be sad or mad, just plain grumpy or to complain
about everything. How so very sad that is.

God lets us make our own choices. So what do you choose?
I choose to be the light of God, to shine in this dark world. I
choose everyday when I wake to be happy, to smile and to be
Thankful for all the Good Lord has given me. My home, my family,
my health. Even in the middle of all the trials and problems that
satan continues to throw my way. I choose to be happy and choose
to be a Blessing to someone else.

Our soul purpose on this earth is to be a Blessing to someone else,
to lift up someone who is down. To help someone in need. To show
kindness and love to all people. To be a witness for the Lord. So
make that choice today to be a Blessing to someone who needs you.

Ezekiel 34:26
I will bless them and the places surrounding my hill. I will send them
down showers in season; there will be showers of blessings.

If you want to be a blessing,
You got to get out there.
Let the light of the Lord shine through you,
As you walk through this life,
And people see you,
Let His Holy Spirit
Come shining through.

Be a Blessing to others,
With your kindness.
Show love to everyone you meet,
If you want to be a blessing,
You got to get out there.
Let the Holy Spirit move your feet.

Don't sit on you hands and be selfish,
Tell others what Jesus has done for you,
Open the Good Book and tell them....
This is the Only Truth.
If you want to be a blessing,
Get out there and tell the world about Him.
Don't sit on your hands and be selfish,
Tell the whole world about Jesus.
Over and Over Again...Amen!

God lets us make our own choices. And I Pray that all our choices
will be to serve our Lord and help and be a blessing to others.

Let's All Make That Choice Today!

You make some outstanding points. I think many people don't understand how much of life is our choice. I know I struggle with it often. The timing of this piece gives me goosebumps. I love how God does these nifty love notes when I least expect them. Many would say it's a coincidence, but so much had to go into the process of me seeing this right now when I need the reminder, starting with your obedience to write what God placed on your heart.

Lately in my editing, I've noticed many people using the word that instead of who. In this line, since you're talking about people it should be: I see so many people who walk...
I know punctuation and capitalization can be a style choice, but I'll admit I was slightly distracted by the random capital letters in common nouns like blessing and pray and lowercase letters in proper nouns like Satan.

It was a small distraction though, and didn't take away from your lovely message. I like the Bible verses you chose (be sure to include which version and if it's in quotation marks,, make sure you copy it exactly and use ellipses for missing parts). I think you had an original take on the topic. Your words definitely touched my heart and your ending brought the poem full circle.
