For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord,” plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
I thought I had my life pretty well planned until a shift of my plans occurred. This shift turned my world up side down, and I was totally confused as to what was going on. I expected to reach my goals and live out my dreams because I prayed to my Heavenly Father for His favor over my life. But, now I felt like my life was at “wits end” and all my commitments and hard work was in vain. And, I must admit my faith was shaken.
At this crossroad in my life, all I felt I could do was continue to pray and ask for God's guidance. But at the same time I was questioning God “why and what is going to become of my future plans?” Through my continuous praying and seeking for answers, I soon realize that God was answering my prayers for my future but He was preparing me in order that I would be able to successfully walk in my destiny. But in order for this preparation to take place, God 's plans had to supersede my plans for right now. God's interruption of my plans allowed for an intervention to occur in my life and instilled the following life tools:
The ability to gain self-confidence to believe in myself and accept myself.
The courage to face my life challenges head on.
The perseverance to keep striving even when things are not going my way.
The motivation to embrace my dreams/goals and seek to achieve them with boldness.
The ability to take ownership of my mistakes but also learn from them.
The ability to encourage myself through positive self-talk and not always depend on others to do this.
Even though, was faith was shaken during God's interruption of my plans, I held onto my faith and trust in my Heavenly Father. And, as I look back on this occurrence, I shed many of tears, and had many of questions but God kept and provided for me through it all. Not only did God keep me, He planted people in my life that helped and encouraged me to keep my faith through it all.
Now, as I am beginning to walk in my destiny of following my dreams of becoming a writer, motivational speaker and business owner. I am inspired to accomplish my dreams with the boldness of, “I am more than a conquer.” I am equipped to face my challenges, and dream without limitations on what I can do.
Thank you Father!

Yes, God makes us adequate for any calling He places upon our lives...
Wing His Words
We serve an amazing God...your words are uplifting and will touch many.
God bless you~
I did notice that you tended to repeat the same words in some paragraphs. One way to avoid doing that is to have someone read the piece aloud to you. You'll hear the repetition easier if someone else says it. You also might want to work on doing more showing and less telling. It's something all writers struggle to find the right balance. For example, you could do something like this:
I thought I had planned out my entire life until one day, my world crumpled. Flopping on my bed, I sobbed into my pillow and kicked my legs like a two-year-old toddler throwing a temper tantrum. I screamed, "Why me? It's not fair! I prayed every day and you haven't heard me!" My throat felt raw and my eyes hurt from the lack of moisture.
I know I took a lot of liberties and that may not have been what happened, but I wanted to show you ways to tell your story and create a vivid mental picture for the reader to connect with.
Overall, I think you have a powerful testimony here. I believe almost everyone will be able to relate. I often say I pray for what I want, but God gives me what I need. It doesn't mean I'm always okay with it though, sometimes I just want what I want. But like the verse you quoted shows, God gets it. He knows what it's like to be human. Your story helped remind me I'm not alone. Others understand me too. I think you'd do a great job with writing devotions. If you haven't ever submitted any to FW daily devotions, I'd urge you to do so. You have a passion and desire to help others, which shines through your words.
