Appointed once to die, after that the judgment
When someone states that they have an appointment, we think, they are going to the Doctor for some reason. Seldom do we think they have an appointed with death, or to talk (prayer) with the LORD. We have some scriptures about Biblical people having their appointment with death, as well as their appointment with the LORD in their communion with the LORD. Many times they have their appointment with death and bypass their talking with the LORD. Whether or not you have conversed with the Master, you will to meet death, and after that the Judgment.
Death does not appear at a certain age. I lost several sons before they were born due to death. My sons just lost their 80 year old Father last month for medical reasons. He suffered in life, but found peace in death with the LORD guiding his way to a land with joy, painless, and living with the King. Survivors of this painful and saddened event live after their loved ones have gone on.
Following their tragic experience in life, lots turn to talking with the LORD of LORDS with Comfort from the Holy Spirit. These are the words of the LORD, “I will never leave you nor forsake you." HE is with us in our sorrows and the dearest of all friends, and true to HIS words.
. We used to sing a song, “well here I am again, LORD, and we have come this way before.” We need to spend more time in our conversation with the LORD and listen to HIS still voice or the thundering voice of many waters. Seek HIM while HE may be found.
Do you have an appointment today? Whether with someone else, death, or communing with the LORD? Some people say they do not know how to pray. It is like talking with your best friend which HE is. HE is also over us, the Master of our lives who guides us throughout our way in walking with HIM. When we walk in HIS footsteps we walk according to HIS way of Life.
I had an appointment with my eye surgeon to remove a cataract and I prayed before, during, and after said surgery. This was the first painless surgery I have ever experienced
When I went to his office following it, he spoke of the LORD and this was certainly comforting to me. My appointment was lengthy and profitable with my LORD.

All of the verses in the beginning may be a tad off putting to some. I'd hate to have someone skip over your message because of the verses.
You did a nice job of writing on topic.
I liked; "When I went to his office following it, he spoke of the LORD and this was certainly comforting to me"
It certainly is comforting to know our doctors have faith in God.
I also liked "My appointment was lengthy and profitable with my LORD"
Amen! The more time we spend with Him, the more the blessings flow!
