For sun alight in golden fire
To beckon in the day,
For moon and twinkling starry host
To steal the day away,
I thank You, Lord.

For mountains garbed in springtime’s green
Or vibrant hues in fall,
And with advent of wintry days,
The snow that covers all,
I thank You, Lord.

For multicolored birds that perch
Upon my windowsill
And entertain me with their songs
Each morning that they trill,
I thank You, Lord.

For beauteous buds on trees and shrubs
And flowers of every hue
That bring a sweetness to the air
Which nothing else can do,
I think You, Lord.

For valleys wide and oceans deep
And plains of golden grain,
For rivers, streams, and waterfalls,
That sparkle in the rain,
I thank You, Lord.

For nature’s gifts that feed my soul
With joy beyond cessation,
And heart that’s filled with gratitude,
Beholding God’s creation,
I thank You, Lord.
