What is the meaning of life?

A question that has plagued the ages,
Yet in my soul, the question still rages.

To the Creator, I sought the answer,
Nagging at me like a cancer.

Expecting a reply in black and white,
Like stars illuminating the night.

Instead, a faint voice is heard,
I struggle to hear each word.

“You need not understand,
Just take hold of my hand.”

“You need not doubt,
I will provide a way out.”

“You need not fear,
For I am always near.”

“You need not ask how,
It will be done as I allow.”

“You need not ask why,
For the answer is too high”

“You need not ask when,
For it is my timetable, not that of men.”

“You need not worry or fret,
For I am in control of it.”

The question still stirs within my soul
Knowing only a part, not the whole.

I must not seek the answer, but the Teacher,
He being the creator, I being the creature.

The voice whispers still and low
“Be still, and know……”
