You have possibly heard it said that memories can own you if you let them, especially the bad ones.

But what about the good ones? Not only should we be constantly busy making new good memories (which involves DOING things that make memories – being around people, participating in life, giving of ourselves, etc – not just TV time)…. But we can take time to enjoy those good memories and share them in photographs and stories to kids, grandkids, friends.

To me, the best memories to share are the ones that have an eternal component. There was a line in a song from the 1970’s Jesus music that we should “tell of His glory among the nations, for great is the Lord and greatly to be praised”.

God inhabits the praises of His people. Recount His mighty works and gracious deeds in your life – to yourself and others. Do it often! You may find your faith rekindled it times it was waning. You may find ears that are young-in-the-Lord that need to know of His lovingkindness.

Speak, write, sing of the mercies of the Lord forever! Let His wondrous deeds be the music of your soul.
