What was so important about today that you rushed off without kissing them goodbye?

What kept you from that smile, and asking “hi honey, how was your day?” – it would have only taken a second.

Was it really that important to hold onto that grudge – to punish them a little longer?

Who would have thought that today, that started out like any other day, would be the last time that you would see that special person?

If you had known, what would you have done differently? What would you have said, or not said?

Regret to last a lifetime lingers in the hearts of the might-have-beens and the wish-I-hads.

Take the time today to greet your loved ones with not only a smiling mouth, but smiling eyes. Take the time for the tender touch. Refrain from the sarcasm and the right to have the last word, for indeed you might.

Life is too short to waste it in a competition of childish displays of anger.

Strive to understand one another – to bless those in your care.

Love to the best of your ability, live life completely, and laugh often. Let the legacy you leave behind be that those who know you know without a shadow of a doubt that they are loved.
