Words flowed from pen to paper as effortlessly as my blood courses through my veins. As soon as one word was completed, another began to form. Word upon word, thought upon thought, I wrote it freely and without regard for content.

I was not writing to be read, or to be understood.
I wrote to find healing,
And perhaps someday to feel again – to be able to finally be free from the numbing cocoon of sorrow that had enveloped me for so very long.

Sorrow that stifled.
Sorrow that suffocated.
Sorrow that prevented me from feeling the joy I once knew.

Oh pen, glide upon the paper.
Oh thoughts, be released, surrendered to the One who understands.
Oh heart, live again in the splendor and the joy of the Lord.
