I wrote this a couple weeks ago after a particularly Spirit-filled Sunday night church service. Our teenagers had just returned from camp with many being saved. One of our young men who has surrendered his life to the ministry preached a wonderful message. We had revival!

Tonight I Saw Jesus


I saw Him in the eyes

Of the people I hold so dear

He was there in a young man’s voice

When for his grandpa, he shed a tear



I saw Him in the teens

At camp they’d found His Light

A new hope for glorious revival

Is now clearly in their sight



He was visible in our prayer meeting

As our hearts burst with His love

We glorified and praised Him

Requesting His blessings from above



I felt him in the touch

Of Mrs. Sarah’s loving embrace

As she encouraged me with her words

He was there…..on her sweet face



I heard Him in the song

That Bro. Tim sang just to Him

He appeared in young Cade’s message

About distractions that lead to sin



I saw Jesus gently working

Thru Preacher as he gave the call

Beckoning all who would….to come

To receive the gift available to all



And then I saw my Jesus

Walking sinners down the aisle

His sweet mercy and grace was so visible

In that….there is no denial



Yes, tonight I saw Jesus

He is very alive and well!

He’s still about His Father’s business

The gates of hell cannot prevail!



He abides in the hearts and souls

Of the Church He calls His own

And still ever so softly and tenderly

He’s calling sinners to.….come home
