Who are you? Who have you become?
Sometimes when I see you, I don’t even recognize you any more. You have changed so much…doing things you promised you would never do.
When I look at you, it is like seeing someone I used to know, but never really knew.

Listen, above all else, I am your friend and I care about you. Because of that, I need to be honest with you. So I’m asking you, is this who you really want to be? Because if this is who you are now, I don’t like what you’ve become.

You are so special, and you can't even see it. But you are changing, and I see you letting go of the unique qualities that set you apart, compromising your beliefs just to fit in. But those qualities that you are throwing away are the very things that make you genuine. If you let go of those things, then all you will be is a copy-cat version of someone else, and copy-cats are a dime a dozen. You are so much more than this – dare to be the real deal.

So, I am asking again… Who are you, face in the mirror? Who have you become?




This is a reflective piece, remembering life before I found Christ, and the events that lead me to a place where I could hear the Truth...the Truth that set me free.
