Why do I doubt you Lord?
That horrible nagging feeling lurking at the perimeter of my soul…
trying to destroy the fortress you have built in my heart.

Oh, this time I shall I run to thee instead of away!
Your name is a strong tower
You are my citadel.
Fortify my spirit that I may exalt thee.

Forgive my human failings and my inconsistent love.
Your faithful love is my portion.
Be near to me that I might delight in your presence.
Open my eyes to see and my heart to understand your ways,
For you are my refuge,
My sanctuary.
