God’s Math
You know how we are taught that when using fractional or non-whole numbers, like 3.4 or 5.6, etc. in some circumstances it is o.k. to “round up” – numbers greater than 0.5 can be rounded up. Numbers smaller would be “rounded down….. (0.75 rounds up to 1.0; 1.3 rounds down to 1)
Well, consider how the Word admonishes us to “love the Lord with our whole heart…..”
When we love him with less, or half-heartedly, if you will, God does not round that up and call it whole-hearted love.
