When God caught Moses' attention with the burning bush, and described his assigned mission to go tell Pharaoh to let His people go, Moses protested long and hard and finally said,
"O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken; I am slow of speech and slow of tongue." Exodus 4:10 And God countered with these words,
"I made your mouth, and I will teach you what to say. Now GO!" Exodus 4:11 (paraphrased)

When we get our marching orders from God, we immediately and foolishly assume that it's all up to us! Pitiful little clay vessels, we cannot seem to understand that whatever God commands, He can surely empower us to do. Our human willingness (no matter our weakness) coupled with His strength equal success for any task He assigns.

No more perfect example of this is the story of the 5,000 hungry men and their families being fed (with leftovers!) with five loaves of bread and two small fish. Five loaves and two fish in the Master's hand equals sufficiency, then and now. When Jesus said, "Feed the crowd," all He needed was their small but willing contribution. It was enough, and it still is.

Creating us surely took more power than periodic upgrading us to do His will. A willing contribution of our meager abilities and means placed in God's hands will get the job done every time. We become fearful when we focus only on our smallness instead of His greatness.

Even Jeremiah, that tired old weeping prophet said, "Ah, Lord God! Behold you have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you."

So when God assigns a task, He will give us whatever it takes to do it. Depend on it!
