The Young Heart
Fertile soil is the young heart
A great place for salvation’s seed to start
Planted with care and tended with love
A tremendous reaping for the Kingdom above
The field is white, ready for the harvest
A wonderful opportunity to be blessed
Workers are much needed in this ripe field
Laborers to bring in the bountiful yield
Open your hearts, hear The Lord’s call
Labor for love for Jesus, Our All and All
Armed with the Gospel, you are ready to start
Reaping the harvest of the young heart

I don’t know if it is because I am a dad or because the Lord just chose to bless me with this desire, but lately I have developed a great love for our youth. I have helped in the past with our youth group in our last church but, here I feel compelled to do so much more.
The Lord showed me how valuable our teenagers are to God. Scriptures highlight the importance of the small children. I look at the youth of today and think what a tremendous opportunity there is to work with these young hearts.
I need your prayers. I am hoping to create a foundation for the youth at our new church. I do not hold the credentials to be a minister, but I have a calling. I feel that now is the time for me to begin my journey into ministry and I find the call leading me to our youth.
Teenagers are the most influential peer group in the entire world. It is in our teens where most of our habits (good or ill) are formed. I feel compelled to help introduce the Gospel to our youth and to challenge them in Discipleship. For every teen I can reach for the Lord, there is a group of friends and classmates in which to plant a seed.
I have drafted a proposal for our church board members, please pray for this. If it is approved then I will need so much prayer to get a foundation built. I praying and fasting for guidance in this ministry. I think the investment of time and money will return exponentially. Thank you and God bless.

I remember my teen years, the hurt, sin, harsh judgment by church members, not to even mention other things. Yes, the teens need someone and Jesus knows exactly who is willing and who he can use. God bless you. Anita

Our youth are calling out for help. God is calling you to reach them. Saying yes to the call is your first step. God will not call you to a ministry where He Himself won't be leading/ directing. He will clear the path for you and He will provide the resources. But don't expect an easy ride - there are challenges ahead but they will come to make you into the leader that you are called to be. The struggles you have gone through were in preparation for this ministry. The enemy did not want this to come to reality. Always remain in His presence. Do all in His will and do not allow self to compromise the ministry. God bless you and I will be praying. Janice.

He will never let you down :) Reap the blessings that come from obedience as you touch the "young hearts" He brings under your wing given flight by the mercy and grace of our heavenly Father. I do not hold the credentials to be a minister, but I have a calling....Dear Christian. If God has called you to this ministry, then that is all the credentials you need. You have been credited by the highest power. I know God will be with you. You could not be in a better calling, than to work with young people. Like you said, they are the future of the church. They are the leaders who will be leading at the most crucial time of our life. We are in the last days, and it is important that the young people be reached. God bless you....Helen
