A glistening diamond trickles down
In its path
Its source, its root burrowed into
An ancient wound,
That sealed it-self
In a nurturer’s heart

Such a wound,
That causes this
Soul to perish
At its very core

Its cause,
A word,
Such a missile
Piercing love
Blistering the heart,
Tormenting the memory,

Such a wound
Its only balm,
Those treasures,
Glistening diamonds,
Trickling, down its path,
From the corners of the open windows
Of a nurturer’s heart
