As I sit at rest, my mind making its journey,
My toes burrowed into the sand grains of time,
I reflect the nostalgic sound of my life’s chime,
My heart I opened wide,
As I embraced the memories of my gentle tide


My existence on this earth,
One humbled in dearth,
I found no comfort in complaints,
I just sowed right and hoped to reap its gains,


Exalted upon the hands of dreams,
Engulfed in the whirlwind of hopes,
My struggles and wars all fade away,
As through the eyes of memories I behold myself always at Christ’s side
As I look back at my gentle tide.
