ON A JOURNEY
O I’ve been on a journey
Since I’ve met my Lord
Trusting and obeying
Hungering and thirsting for His Word.
Faithful God Who guides me
As I wait on Him
Walking by faith and not by sight
By the Spirit, Who lives within
Through joy and sorrows tempest
I’ve triumphed by His grace
Steadfastly, going onward
Knowing I’ll see His face
Day by day I press on
In His truth I’m standing sure
Standing on His promises
What could be more secure
Not a dull drab Christianity
But with excitement in the air
Eagerly anticipating each days walk
For my Saviour’s with me there.
