This Perfect Gift

Every good and perfect gift
Comes down from the Father above
That’s why He sent his only Son to die for us
It was out of His great love

The perfect gift of God contains
Many things that bring to us life
First it brings to us salvation
As for our sin, Jesus did pay the price

This gift when unwrapped
Brings to us the shield of faith
That quenches the fiery darts of the enemy
So that victorious we may run our race

This perfect gift brings to us healing
For every sickness and disease
It also brings to us deliverance
From all the strongholds of the enemy

This perfect gift brings to us provision
As God said that He would supply all of our need
Jesus came to give us life
So it gives to us life, abundantly

This perfect gift brings to us a promise
Of the Comforter that will come
That will endue us with great power
So this world we may overcome

This perfect gift brings to us life eternal
With God the Father up above
Our destiny no longer is in doubt
For in our heart, we know His love.
