Hazel's Story
Brushing the gold dust and cedar chips off His flowing robe, He summons a servant.
"Yes, my Lord" the servant answers as he enters the door.
"I have finished Hazel's home. Go usher her into the Kingdom of Heaven," Jesus says while patting off the last of the dust.
Hazel could feel her life ebbing away. Her thoughts were of loved ones she will see again.
The angel emerges through the wall. "Fear not" is all he manages before Hazel says "Oh, I'm not afraid of you, I know why you're here."
As the angel takes her hand, Hazel's soul separates from body.
Walking towards the front door, the angel passes through as something catches Hazel's eye. Breaking free she makes her way, back to her body.
"What's wrong?" the angel asks.
"Mary Lynn. What about my baby? I want some assurance all will work out."
"Please come, Hazel. It will be fine."
Hazel rocks as she fights the temptation to leave, "I want some assurance."
A brilliant light illuminates the room. Out of instinct she covers her eyes but the light doesn't hurt.
The King of Kings walks up behind the angel, placing His hands upon the angel's shoulders He whispers, "Samuel, if you don't mind I want to handle this." Nodding his head in acknowledgment, he turns to Hazel. "See ya" with that he vanishes.
Taking her hand in His, He sets beside her. "Hazel, my child." His words are cool and calming. "Remember when Blackie passed away? It was hard at first, but I sent people to help.
I have never forsaken you or family, I never will."
"Mary Lynn is younger though, I'm afraid she won't be able to handle it." Hazel says.
"Oh, I see." Patting her hand Jesus says, "I want to show you something." Pulling a scroll from His robe, He unrolls it. "Remember last week, talking to your sisters and friends?"

Nodding her head, He continues, "You asked them to keep an eye on Mary Lynn if anything happened to you. This is a commitment list. See all the people committed to Me through prayer- even people you never met- that heard about your request."
"I believe you Lord. I'm ready when you are."
Rising off the bed they walk hand in hand to the front door.
"Hazel, you think you've had a good life. Wait till you see what eternity holds for you."
Facing one another, He wipes a tear from her cheek. "It is with great pleasure, I present to you, your inheritance..... the Kingdom of Heaven."
Together they walked out the door and into Heaven.
