MOUNTAIN MOVE

With an overbearing stench, the demons of hell formed a circle around me.

While they taunted and jeered, they circled like vultures. With no escape in sight I huddled in the center as they abused my body, mind and spirit.

As my strength left, I got on my knees and praised God. In front of me an opening some fifty feet wide appeared.

Wearily I got to my feet and headed for it as the demons snickered, "It isn't that easy."

Before stepping through, eight of hell's ugliest demons appeared and blocked the opening. Fifteen foot tall with six foot wide shoulders, they stood side by side. Each held a shield with a single letter on it.

As I read the letters I realized it spelled MOUNTAIN.

In utter distress I fell to my knees and cried to God.

As my tears mixed with the sand, nine of God's angels appeared; facing off with the demons. The wrestling began.

For two days and nights they fought. No ground gained or lost.

As I wept bitter tears the ninth angel came to me.

I saw the very glory of God upon his face as I looked into it.

"William," (his voice knocked me over) "my army cannot defeat this enemy. We have the power but not the authority."

What he told me next not only terrified but excited me.

"William, you have the authority to move this mountain in Jesus' name."

With a boldness of the Spirit, I jumped to my feet and ran into the midst of the battle.

The demons laughed as both armies stopped fighting. "What do you want, Billy?"

He said the wrong thing ."I hate being called Billy."

"In the name" was all I got out before the demons cringed and the angels rejoiced.

As the demons fell to their knees, they begged me not to finish my sentence. "We will leave peacefully."

Straightening my clothes I finished my sentence, "of Jesus, MOUNTAIN MOVE!"

The angels and the demons were gone. Before me stood Jesus Christ.

"William, I'm proud of you. Go on your way. Peace be with you." Jesus said.
