Scripture Verse:
2 Cor. 9:6-8 (NLT)

“Remember this ̶ a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. ‘For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.’ And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”



Thought:

I’m sure that parents all over the world have muttered these exact words, “Share your toys!” As a parent, you realize that when your children share things, the object will get greater use. Plus, you did not give the gift to your child for it to be horded away and not enjoyed. Often, the spirit of sharing spreads throughout the household. Then, everyone ends up happy!

I imagine God feels the same about us, especially when we don’t’ share. He, after all, gave us everything we have and it belongs to Him. We have no right, not to share. When we share our wealth, others will receive joy and encouragement.



Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for blessing us with Your goodness. Thank you for providing more than we need. Encourage us to share our material possessions and wealth with others, so as to bring a smile to Your face. Amen.
