We Need the Blood of Jesus

We need the Blood of Jesus
Not the blood of man
For until washed in the Blood of Jesus
None of us know, where or how, to stand

We need our sins forgiven
And all washed away
That we may see clearly
What the Lord would want, today

We need the Holy Spirit power
That fell at Pentecost
We need to pray till we get it
We must all be willing, to pay the cost

When the Holy Spirit falls
Not one person will be the same
We won’t need mans many programs
Where men alone, get the fame

The Welsh revival
Was an example to us all
How bad do we want the Holy Spirit?
Upon our land, to fall?

Are we willing to give up our selfish desires?
And the many cares of this world
Are we willing to pray all night?
And take up our sword?

We need to cry out for God’s power
To fall upon our land
As we have built so many foundations
On only sinking sand

We must cry out to God
For His direction and power
We must hear from Heaven
In this, our darkest hour

We have spent our lives
Heaping treasure for ourselves
We have been trying to build an earthly kingdom
And have put our God upon a shelf

There is no kingdom of man
That will save us in the final hour
The only kingdom that will stand
Is the one of the Holy Spirit, power

Nothing else will work
But will we pay the cost
Are we willing to give up all
For the dying and the lost

Only through God’`-s power
Will the world of ours change
We need a great revival
We need the Holy Spirit rain

Some may say where is God?
Where has He been?
Yet we fail to realize that our focus
Has been the pleasure, of our own sin

God has not changed
He is still the same
When we cry out to him
We will live again.
