Production or Power?

It seems that the ways of the world
Have entered into God’s house
We seem to just entertain
And the Holy Spirit fire just douse

We can have a production
That will tickle the ears
It may entertain many
But what about all the hurt and tears?

We can go to Broadway
And view a play
We can go to a concert
And listen to what men may say

What about the power
That the Holy Ghost did give?
That will change lives in our midst
And cause a dead man to live

What about preaching
With the anointed fire from God’s throne
The kind that convicts the sinner
And causes the lost to come home

What about the gifts of the Spirit
That in a meeting, need to manifest
Am I the only one
That seems to have this request?

The Bible says that the cares of this world
Will choke out God’s Word
So when man runs the show
Who really is their Lord?
