Standing On God’s Promise

Standing on God’s promise, In the midst of this pain.
People often ask me, how do I remain?

The Lord is my shelter, The Lord brings me peace
He promises if I trust Him, He will never leave.

Why has he given me, this thorn with in my side?
That’s what I’ll ask Him, when I cross the blue sky.

I will trust knowing that, stronger I will be
For He has given assurance, He gives me peace.

If you are hurting, you feel pain in all you do
Hold on to His promise, He will bring you through.

Trust in His mercy, there will be better days
Give all to Christ in prayer; lift your voice in praise.

I know many people who do just that, stand on God's promises. I know of one lady who has MS so bad she is confined day and night to a wheelchair, but she does not complain. She send out encouragement to others. Another lady I know does wonderful artwork; yet she lives in constant pain. She stands on God's promises to sustain her. Yes, you have put across a very good point. We have to stand on God's promises in our every day life because we all have problems of one sort or another...Thanks for sharing...Helen
