But Do You Know Me?

You can follow my word
You can know it by heart
You can dot every I
You can play the part

You can quote my scripture
And follow it to the T
But the problem is
Do you really know me?

Your life will never start
Until you get intimate with me
I have many plans
Which I have ordained for you to be

Revelation comes only by My Spirit
Not by your natural mind
It comes as you press in
As new treasures you then will find

I desire for you to have my mind
I desire for you to know my heart
I desire to show you just what will be
If by My Spirit you will become a part

I will lead you in ways
You never could even dream
All the things that were once seemed tough
You will find that easy they now seem

To be crucified with Me
Means that you allow me to run the show
There is no real power
In your strength and what you know

Anointed with my power
There is nothing that we can’t do
Yet the only way that this will happen
Is when it becomes me, not you

Seek me first and my kingdom
And all things you need will come
When you are intimate with me
There will be nothing that you can’t overcome

Intimacy brings power
Over the devil and the cares of a natural life
Intimacy brings peace and joy
And an end to all your strife

Spend time with me please
And get to know me better
Walk by my presence and power
Instead of the written letter

You have paid a high price
To get you where you are today
So don’t give up now
With me go all the way

I will open doors
That no man can ever close
I will do many miracles
As My glory I will show

I will raise you up
And plant your feet on solid ground
You and I will become one
And you will blow my trumpet sound

Draw near, my child, draw near
And get to know my ways
Allow me to work through you
And you will experience glorious days

Don’t allow the religious bondage
Which steals and kills and destroys
Become one with me
And gain all power over satan’s ploys

Anyone can write down orders
That others follow religiously
But for you I have so much more
As I want you to know me.
