With a swell of pride and arrogance he handed the invitation to the usher at the sanctuary door.

With the authenticity checked, the angel stares at Pride. "Who invited you?"

Pride pointed to Brother Mark, Sister Janice and then the Pastor.

Reluctantly the angel let him by. Pride quickly joined his fallen buddies that had arrived earlier.

Walking over to Pride, Depression and Doubt; the angel Daniel spoke. "We will be watching you guys, this service is special and you guys are not wanted here."

Pride shoved Daniel away violently, "Don't threaten us Danny, you know the rules. As long as we're invited we can stay."

Not backing down, Daniel turned and walked away. "Yes, I am aware of the rules."

As the service started the demons laughed as they watched Daniel and his buddies gather around the altar. "You see they're already defeated. they have to ask God what to do. What wimps!"

The demons got nervous as the angels got up and started walking around.

Daniel made his way to the platform and whispered in the music director's ear, as Pride, Doubt and Depression were distracted.

Quickly rising the director made his way to the pulpit. "I feel led by the Spirit to sing,
You Won't Leave Here Like You Came In Jesus' Name."

With a nervous laugh all three demons asked "Is that a promise or a threat?"

As the music began the angels started their ministry among the congregation. Where Doubt was, Faith filled the void. Where Depression was, Hope came to visit. Pride found himself giving way to Humility at the altar.

As the three demons made their way to the sanctuary door, the angel opened it. "To answer your question, it's both a promise and a threat. It's a promise to the saints that will accept it and a threat to the demons that were invited."
