OUT OF SIGHT SINS

“Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight, Yes, what joy for those whose sin is no longer counted against them by the Lord? Romans 4:7,8 NLT

Don’t think for a moment because of who I am or am not that my sins deserve to be put out of the site of God. What I deserve, and, if you will admit it this holds true for you too, is God to pour out His wrath on me. You and I are sinners who willfully choose to disobey God. Were it not for Jesus, in whom I believe, God would spew His wrath and vengeance upon me because I deserve His worse, not best. But, for the mystery of God’s chosing to save me, I would have no hope for eternal life through the redemption of this miserable soul through the love of Jesus Christ. But because of Christ, ah, such insignificant words to give thanks to God for Jesus, my sins are no longer held against me.

So what will I do with the rest of my life? How shall I live? I shall strive to live thanking God for salvation which comes through Christ alone. I shall give thanks and strive to live a life to set aside my old ways and claim God’s new way to live – seeking to focus on Christ alone – seeking to die to the old self and being a person seeking God every day.
